After long and careful consideration, magazines are our new offering. We've carefully chosen what we believe to be the best selection to match our lifestyle, ethos and customers.

Dog
Issue Two: April 2017
152 pages
40gsm uncoated stock with 300gsm matte laminated cover.

Alan Says: "Dog is what it says on the tin, but not just what you'd expect. This issue is focussed on the Shiba Inu, which is a key breed in Japan. Due to their travels to find the dogs, you also get some amazing photos of, and guides to, Japan itself. (If that's something of interest, also check out Lodestars Anthology: Japan). Interviews with some interesting dog owners and a photographer working Crufts rounds the issue to be broader than the cover suggests. The article on Reg, the blind dog was a highlight for me.

For more information, the publishers description is below.

Issue 2 is all about the Shiba Inu. We travelled to Japan to document the breed and while we were there we met a group of amazing dogs. We also travelled around the country to create a photo diary of our favourite spots. We feature work by Japanese illustrator Tatsuro Kiuchi and Japanese architect Tadao Ando.

We took a walk in Brooklyn with our cover girl Honey and her owner Matt James, AKA Pearl, popular alumni from hit American show RuPaul’s Drag Race.

We talk creativity and dog ownership with J.Crew’s Menswear Director Frank Muytjens, and chat to Andrew Tuck from Monocle magazine to discuss urbanism and life with a dog.

We also showcase work from talented photographer Ollie Grove and artist John Molesworth. We explored the senses in a series of stories and talk to a group of creative women in our ‘Girl & Dog’ piece.
