Why we love Bridget / Et Games:
HANDMADE, UK MADE, SUSTAINABLE, SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE

Find out more about why we love Et Games in our About Curated Makers Section.

Bridget is made in England - skilled fabric printers from Cheshire, laser cutting technicians in London, and thread makers in Leicestershire - with the final stages done in a prison workshop.

Bridget is mostly made in two UK prisons under the guidance of Blue Sky Inside. Blue Sky is a social enterprise that provides employment for offenders in prison and ex-offenders out of prison. Ex-offenders who find work far less likely to re-offend – and enabling prisoners to work whilst in prison can only help them to carry on working once they leave. Alfie's Studio agree that real commercial work in prison workshops is a constructive and redemptive outlet for prisoners’ time and energy.

Description:
A little like a cross between Tetris, chess and noughts-and-crosses. Each player tries to cross from one side to the other whilst simultaneously trying to stop their opponent from doing the same. The pieces can sit on top of each other, provided they always touch the board. It's easier to play than explain, honest!

Bridget is a version of a Swiss game ‘Caminos’ designed by Stefan Kögl. The original version won ‘Best Family Game’ at the Swiss toy awards 2011.

The game appeals to anyone with a competitive streak. All ages can play, although anyone smaller than around ten years old may have a bad losing temper!

Our Advice:
Perfect for camping, pubs and office lunchtimes. Just don't be surprised if you get a crowd.
